The Sand cardigan is a classical raglan model featuring a simple structural pattern which is fun and easy to knit. The texture of the knit, combined with the characteristics of the two yarns held together; tweed silk mohair and the chunky, yet soft blown yarn, is reminiscing of the sand-borne glaciers of Iceland and results in a truly luxurious garment.

You will be working flat, from the neck down, using the following techniques: Casting on and off, knitting and purling, picking up stitches, increasing (M1R and M1L) and decreasing (k2tog and ssk). Sleeves are worked in the round. To finish, a ribbed band with buttons and buttonholes is worked along the front edges.

Sizes: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 – 5 – 6 / Garment circumference 97 – 102 – 108 – 114 – 123 – 133 sm / 38 1/4 – 40 1/4 – 42 1/2 – 45 – 48 1/2 – 52 1/4 in.

Gauge: 13 sts og 20 rows in pattern = 10×10 cm / 4×4 in.

Needles: Circular needle 5 and 7 mm (US 8 and 10 ½ -11) or as required to meet gauge; 40 and 100 cm long. Double pointed needles 5 mm (US 8) for cuffs. If you use the magic loop technique, you will need one long circular needle in each size.

Yarn: Gepard PuF (50 g = 90 m / 98 yds) held together with Gepard Kid Seta (25 g = 210 m / 230 yds). Estimated meterage/yardage: PuF: 400-450-500-500-550-600 g and Kid Seta: 100-100-100-125-125-150 g.
